Big Week

Hello All!!

Well, I've officially been home for around 5 weeks now...boy how time flys.  This week means that my trip back up to Duke is in just a few days, Thursday actually, and I'm so not looking forward to it.  Happily, it's just a day trip.  Sadly, it means I'm having another bone marrow biopsy.  But I know it has to be done and I'm looking forward to getting back some good, still no sign of MDS, results.  Let's all pray and keep our fingers crossed.  I won't know the results until probably Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

This week also means that my very best friend is flying in to see me and I get to spend the whole weekend with her.  I love you Andrea Campbell!!!

Ok, so now I'm feeling a little mushy, so I think it's a good time to talk about my very amazing husband, who's name is Brian, in case you didn't know.  I love this man, so much more than when I married him almost 10 years ago!  Spending the last five weeks with him has been so very wonderful, he has taken such good care of me, physically and mentally.  He makes sure I get out of the and walk to get my strength up, he pulls me out of my darkness when I lose sight and whenever I feel down about the fact that I do indeed look like a cancer patient, he reassures me that I am still the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.  This man is my rock, my best friend and the absolute love of my life!!!

Oh, and one more very best part of being home....this is one very happy mommy!!

I forgot to say something about me...oops!  I'm doing very well, I feel stronger everyday.  I get blood tests done every week and my counts have been amazing, they are actually better now than when all this mess started.  My Dr told me last week that I could go on living a completely normal healthy life with the way my counts have been.  So, I'm feeling really good, so close to normal I can almost see it.
